An Ultrasound Application for TiO2 Photocatalytic Degradation of Methyl Orange

Nanometer TiO2 photocatalysts were prepared by the sol–gel method. The catalysts characterized X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible and other techniques. Methyl orange solution was used for degradation of organic material ultrasonic technology to determine photocatalytic performance catalysts. results show that Ni-N-TiO2 is clearly improved under conditions. effect optimal at a catalyst concentration 0.3 g/L, an initial matter 0.03 mmol/L, nickel-doping amount 2 mol %, nitrogen-doping 15 %. use ultrasound in combination with photocatalysis has positive rate methyl 95 % after 3 h.
